Dear reader,
As you can probably guess, my name is Denitsa.
I recently graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a BA degree in journalism and media studies and a minor in film.
I am originally from Bulgaria, but I have not actually lived there for more than 13 years now. It is a beautiful little country though (probably about the size of New York City) and I will never stop missing it and going back for visits.
After I graduated from high school in 1997 I kept busy traveling for most of the time. I craved adventure so I ended up working on cruise ships, skydiving in Mexico, dog sledding in Alaska, scuba diving in Hawaii, deep ocean exploring in the Caribbean and researching ancient ruins in Africa, Europe and Asia.
It was an amazing experience, but I had to think of a different way to spend my “adult” life and since my dream has always been to have a job which I feel passionate about I decided to slow down my adventure drive and go back to school.
Although this blog was initially developed for my journalism class and with the sole purpose to provide more information about the UNLV (aka. East Paradise) community in Las Vegas, I hope to find some other great topics I am passionate about and to continue nourishing it in the future.
